Lead Makeup Artist
BIO
When I was in my early twenties my friend and I really enjoyed the Miami nightlife. We always wanted to look our absolute best but we didn't know how to really do our makeup so we looked the way that we envisioned. We would spend money on getting makeup artists to do our makeup and sometimes it was hit-or-miss. I took an interest in what the makeup artist was doing. I would be the one sitting there asking her question after question after question about what she was doing what products she was using and what does what so therefore I could learn. I found myself being really intrigued at the magic that was taking place. I said to myself Hey I can do this.
So I started off with makeup on myself or my family members and at first it really didn't look good but with practice and as time went on and with good teachers I was able to really understand the art of makeup and what looked good on different skin tones and what didn't. It was a long and tedious process but I'm happy I went through it because the makeup artist that I am today shows how far I've come.
I have been a passionate makeup artist based in Miami Florida for close to 10 years. With a love for art and creativity I have an ability to connect with each individual client. I feel privileged to work with such a board and creative industry. Fully qualified as both a hair and makeup artist I have an extensive portfolio of projects composed of everything from bridal makeup, hairstyles, fashion shoots to catwalk models and media stars. I offer my clientele the opportunity to learn, relax, and be pampered. Although not a licensed skin care therapist, I am familiar with various skin issues especially for women of color.
Whether it's educating clientele on proper skin care routines for better-looking skin, makeup application or a bridal consultation, I have the innate skill and ability to bring out the natural beauty of each of my clients. I've worked as a volunteer makeup artist for C.O.P.E which is an alternative school for teen mothers. I've worked with various up-and-coming fashion designers, organizations such as Fashionhappyhour, Femme Factory, various photoshoots, runway shows such as The Heat of Fashion, and Safiyashoetiqe up-and-coming recording artist, TV show host TheWilameanajonesexperience show. My work can also be seen on swimsuit designer Risque Dukes swimwear apparel catalog along with appearing in indie magazines such as CoCo and Bossy.
